Sam Schobbe

Sam Schobbe graduated in textile design at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design in 2018. She presented her final collection as part of Collective 12 during FASHIONCLASH Festival in 2018. “You work towards that moment for 4 years - especially the last year was very intense. The moment you see your collection on the catwalk is really cool; an audience clapping for your work, that was unbelievable - it made me very proud”. Sam’s work didn’t stay unnoticed, and was mentioned in various publications: “Definitely a highlight in my career, so far”

The main characteristics in Sam’s prints are the combinations of outstanding and bright colors with a special finishing of the fabric. “I am interested in how fabrics react to each other and how I can create texture and layers with paint.”

Currently Sam is providing advice in ‘Interior Styling’ for private clients or businesses.

“FASHIONCLASH built a great platform for young designers the last 10 years and they created chances for young designers, like me, to be in the spotlight and to receive the attention we need to reach a larger audience. It’s a network where you can only dream of as a young designer.”
